About the position

J.H. Seale & Son, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient distribution of petroleum products. This role is crucial for meeting customer demands and involves overseeing the logistics department, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining compliance with regulations. The position offers strong potential for advancement and may transition to a hybrid or fully remote setup after training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Logistics department
• Efficiently supervise, train, evaluate, and motivate the dispatch team and drivers
• Oversee routing, customer service, and communication
• Manage customers' inventory through systems and analysis
• Acknowledge orders and provide accurate delivery windows based on workload and workforce
• Analyze workload and determine the most efficient means to deliver fuel with a focus on costs, priorities, and logistics
• Oversee the proper utilization of equipment, driving workforce, hours of service, and full shifts
• Communicate directly with customers regarding their requirements
• Maintain an understanding of DOT regulations
• Work with the Safety and Fleet Managers to ensure a safety-first philosophy is always followed
• Assist drivers with the in-cab billing and ELD system

Requirements

• Previous petroleum transportation experience
• Previous dispatch experience
• Proven decision-making ability
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Team player with strong self-motivation and drive
• Proficient at multi-tasking
• High level of initiative
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
