About the position

The PFS Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the customer service team within the Patient Business Services (PBS) location of Trinity Health. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing financial performance by managing billing and collection functions. The supervisor motivates staff, monitors performance, and implements solutions to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the customer service team.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving billing issues and handling complaints.
  • Monitor customer complaints and interactions, providing oversight for problem resolution.
  • Prepare service level metrics and summaries for leadership review.
  • Participate in redesigning customer service processes to improve efficiency and data integrity.
  • Assist in training and developing customer service colleagues.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback for performance improvement.
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance customer service operations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue management or customer service within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team-building and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage direct reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a complex multi-entity healthcare organization.
  • Supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
