About the position

The PFS Operations Specialist at AdventHealth Corporate plays a crucial role in supporting the Divisional PFS Team by providing data compilation and analysis. This position is primarily focused on preparing financial spreadsheets, developing databases, and identifying opportunities to streamline business processes. The specialist will also be involved in various data special projects as assigned, which may include the coordination of new technology projects and processes, testing, and data integration efforts. The role is designed for someone who can apply technical expertise to develop decision support information that aids in financial reporting for the revenue cycle across Southeast Region Advent Health hospitals. In this position, the specialist will utilize a variety of software applications and data sources to produce reports and databases that assist various departments in making strategic business decisions. The ability to think independently and creatively is essential, as the specialist will be responsible for developing standard reports and conducting ad hoc analyses. Maintaining a high degree of accuracy while handling large amounts of data is critical, as is serving as a technical resource for various software applications within the department. The specialist will also be expected to complete special projects assigned by department leaders within the requested timeframe, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data compilation and analysis support to the Divisional PFS Team areas.
  • Prepare financial spreadsheets and develop databases.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Assist with the coordination of new technology projects and processes, including testing and data integration efforts.
  • Apply technical expertise in the development of decision support information for financial reporting.
  • Utilize various software applications and data sources to produce reports and databases for strategic business decisions.
  • Demonstrate independent thinking and creativity in developing standard reports and ad hoc analyses.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate of Arts degree in accounting, finance or computer technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years data analysis experience.
  • Financial analytical background/skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare financial/accounting experience preferred.
  • Four year degree in accounting, finance, computer technology preferred.
  • Revenue Cycle Operations experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Epic, Axiom and PowerBI.
