About the position

The Analyst, Investment Operations position at PGIM involves supporting the Derivatives Accounting & Reporting Group, which is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and recordkeeping for Prudential and its subsidiaries. The role requires a blend of investment knowledge, technical and analytical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities, contributing to the financial reporting on various bases including Statutory, GAAP, and Tax.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily processing and monitoring of a wide array of derivative asset types, their cash settlements, and collateral movements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reporting to meet all regulatory filing requirements.
  • Partner with internal clients and business partners to complete various ad-hoc requests and special projects.
  • Identify, implement and perform key controls that will improve overall data quality.
  • Utilize various applications such as PAM, Oracle Ledger, Cognos reports, and MS Excel to analyze data and prepare financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required with a major in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Information Systems preferred.
  • Experience with investment security types is a plus.
  • Successful PC skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Successful analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks and work in a deadline oriented environment.
  • Tight-knit collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills, resourcefulness and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task/juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior background / internship experience in investment management or financial services Industry is strongly preferred.
