About the position

The Pharma Copywriter / Medical Editor position is a fully remote role focused on creating compelling and accurate content for the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in copywriting, particularly within healthcare, and will be responsible for translating complex medical information into clear and engaging copy. This role requires collaboration with marketing teams and adherence to industry regulations while delivering high-quality content across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original concepts and copy for promotional materials across therapeutic areas including respiratory, oncology, vaccines, and specialty.
  • Create branded and unbranded materials for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Craft copy for both digital and print content channels.
  • Provide alternative options for client-created copy to enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to deliver creative copy solutions.
  • Support the Content Studio creative team with patient-, HCP-, and payer-focused messaging.
  • Present copy to clients, explaining alignment with their brief and strategy.
  • Ensure quality, medical accuracy, and health literacy of all copy.
  • Copy edit and proof layout files for accuracy at all stages.
  • Prepare materials for promotional team review and participate in review meetings.
  • Accurately substantiate and reference original and repurposed copy.
  • Utilize multiple resource documents while adhering to FDA regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Follow detailed processes within project management and content routing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to write clear, engaging, and persuasive copy while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
