About the position

The Pharmaceutical Chemist position at Eurofins USA involves providing biopharmaceutics support for drug development projects through experimental testing in a laboratory setting. The role requires executing various testing protocols and developing quantitative analytical methodologies to determine drug content, while also documenting findings and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide biopharmaceutics support to projects in various stages of drug development through experimental testing in a laboratory setting.
• Execute testing protocols including USP dissolution, solubility determination, precipitation and flux assays.
• Develop and execute quantitative analytical methodologies to support determination of drug content from in vitro dissolution studies.
• Utilize HPLC and UV assay techniques for quantitation of drugs in solution.
• Evaluate novel protocols and instrumentation to address biopharmaceutical questions.
• Document findings via an electronic lab notebook system and through technical reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
• Minimum of two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major.
• Background in physical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics or allied disciplines is desirable.
