The Lab Support role is a critical position within a pharmaceutical company located in Cambridge, MA. This position requires a strong background in benchtop support, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in companies such as Pfizer, Abbott, Vertex, BMS, and Lilly. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that laboratory equipment and IT infrastructure are functioning optimally to support laboratory operations. This includes a thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GxP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which are essential for maintaining compliance in a regulated environment. In this role, the individual will also need to have a good exposure to IT infrastructure, including knowledge of antivirus software, Active Directory, and asset management systems. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laboratory equipment and IT systems is crucial. The candidate will work closely with laboratory personnel to ensure that all systems are operational and that any technical issues are addressed promptly. Additionally, while not mandatory, experience with Lace Box and Empower Systems is considered a valuable asset. Familiarity with medical instruments and their connections to desktops, as well as an understanding of various laboratory instruments such as plate readers, spectrometers, and calibrators from manufacturers like Waters and Agilent, will enhance the candidate's effectiveness in this role. Previous IT experience with vendors like Perkin Elmer in a similar capacity will also be beneficial.
