About the position

The Testing Services Representative is responsible for providing customer education and technical assistance regarding testing services. This role involves continuous client contact during testing, documentation of interactions, and collaboration with the Inside Sales Leader to assess project feasibility. The representative will also create proposals for testing services, follow up on cost estimates, and represent the company at trade shows.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer education on services by phone or e-mail and determine best course of action to match customer needs.
• Provide technical assistance to customers on test program setup and maintain ongoing client contact during testing.
• Document all customer contact and interactions.
• Discuss requests with the Inside Sales Leader to review project feasibility.
• Review testing standards and engineering drawings.
• Create proposals for testing at all locations and follow up on cost estimates or tests requested but not received.
• Attend trade shows to represent the company and host in-person tours at Florida locations.
• Participate actively in hurricane preparation.

Requirements

• 5 years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree or greater in a hard science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
• Experience in a test or manufacturing lab.
• Familiarity with national and international standards (ASTM, ISO, DIN, etc.).
• Minimum associate degree in a science or technology field.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience, including heavy written correspondence.
• Ability to explain technical concepts at various levels (technical to non-technical).
• Computer literacy and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail in documentation.
• Fair grasp of algebra and geometry concepts.
• Knowledge of business etiquette.
