About the position

The Specialty Sales Representative at Nestlé Health Science is responsible for driving sales performance within a designated territory, focusing on the gastrointestinal (GI) product portfolio. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, educating them on novel GI therapies, and executing marketing strategies to meet sales objectives. The position requires a deep understanding of the GI healthcare environment and effective communication of complex clinical information to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts, meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives.
  • Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy within the assigned territory.
  • Execute the selling process in a concise, compliant, professional, and persuasive manner.
  • Develop a deep scientific understanding of GI disorders and competitive products in the GI marketplace.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders in the GI community.
  • Implement a territory-specific business plan utilizing available resources for successful sales.
  • Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to stakeholders in a competitive marketplace.
  • Utilize sales reporting systems for call preparation, tracking sales activity, and gathering market intelligence.
  • Organize meetings and deliver content to healthcare professionals on GI and nutrition topics aligned with account objectives.
  • Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences.
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.
  • Develop accounts by identifying business models, key decision makers, and focusing on patient discharge and transition of care processes.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in specialty sales.
  • Strong understanding of the GI healthcare environment and related therapies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with healthcare providers.
  • Ability to convey complex clinical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience in developing and executing business plans.
