About the position

Syneos Health is recruiting for a Training Manager, Learning Excellence for our highly respected pharmaceutical client. This is a tactical role with no direct reports. The Training Manager is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of learning deliverables to support POA meetings, new hire experience, and product/indication launches. This includes updating, maintaining, and delivering new hire curricula, as well as addressing the ongoing learning and development needs of the entire sales force based on sales direction. The Training Manager is also responsible for developing and executing learning solutions that meet the demands of the field sales force. Additionally, the Training Manager conducts an ongoing environmental scan of potential learning gaps throughout the field and develop strategies on how to address them. Accordingly, the Training Manager collaborates with peers, Sales Leadership, brand, Regulatory, HCC, and other stakeholders to design and deploy targeted programs that meet all learning needs and enhance on-the-job effectiveness. The Training Manager serves as a conduit between Marketing and Sales by translating and communicating brand strategies to Sales personnel through multiple training mediums, while adhering to all appropriate Guidelines (e.g., HCC, Regulatory, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous advancement and alignment of learning and development solutions with short-term and long-term business objectives to support sales force effectiveness.
  • Understand, apply, and remain current in adult learning principles, advanced facilitation skills, and learning technology to develop and execute the most effective learning programs.
  • Partner collaboratively with a cross functional network of stakeholders, including but not limited to sales leadership and marketing, to proactively identify training needs, develop strategies and solutions, and optimize implementation to maximize field impact.
  • Build and maintain fluency in Treatment Resistant Depression disease state, healthcare ecosystem, access, and marketplace trends to inform strategies and approaches.
  • Monitor and evaluate team's progress towards goals, while managing resources, and workload to maximize outputs and effectively address training needs and opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of pharmaceuticals experience is required including pharma sales experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously when needed to complete critical tasks and projects to meet defined deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior learning and development or experience in delivering training in multiple learning modalities (workshop, virtual, e-learning, simulation, gamification) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a matrix and complex environment strongly preferred.
  • Prior launch experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Neuroscience is a plus.
