About the position

The Clinical/Staff Pharmacist at Frye Regional Medical Center is responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. This role involves coordinating drug distribution and clinical activities, ensuring safe and effective medication management in accordance with established regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders and transcribes them to patient medication profiles accurately.
• Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, duplications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug, dose, and frequency.
• Compounds and dispenses medications including sterile compounds, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
• Reviews/interprets laboratory data for therapy appropriateness and recommends changes as needed.
• Interacts with patients, health care providers, clinics, and prescribers involved with the patient.
• Documents all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
• Participates in the quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
• Valid NC Pharmacy License.

Nice-to-haves
