About the position

As a Publix Pharmacy Associate, you'll experience the satisfaction of working for a company that is passionately devoted to its customers, associates, and the wellness of the communities it serves. Our pharmacy departments are distinguished by a genuine patient-centric environment, offering clinical services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and much more. Publix is consistently recognized as one of the best places in America to work, making it a top choice for those in the pharmacy field. With the potential for growth of up to 50 new pharmacies each year, our promote-from-within culture provides a rewarding career path into various areas, including retail management, specialty pharmacy, outpatient hospital pharmacy, and corporate or centralized pharmacy operations. Your passion for health and wellness, combined with our commitment to excellence, sets Publix apart from the competition. We understand that you want to build a career centered around caring for others, and we want that career to be with Publix Pharmacy. Join a team that both pharmacists and patients feel good about. As a Floating Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include providing dedication to each pharmacy's success by executing strategy, motivating and inspiring staff as the pharmacist-on-duty. You will set priorities to maximize contributions, execute daily tasks, support the team, and build rapport with both customers and associates. Your role will involve delivering best-in-class pharmacy service to patients, empowering your staff to provide value and service through counseling, building personalized relationships, promoting customer loyalty, and offering pharmacist-led clinical services to enhance health and wellness through the services available at Publix. You will inspire each team you work with to do the right thing, gain buy-in, and empower the team to be accountable. Additionally, you will manage team performance, such as prescription promised time, by assigning tasks to ensure complex operational activities are met efficiently in the absence of the pharmacist-in-charge. You will be regarded as an expert on the pharmacy technology system and mentor others on Publix pharmacy best practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink while meeting customers' needs. Proactively advancing pharmacy clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations, will also be part of your role. Maintaining a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs and assisting in all other duties as assigned will be essential to your success in this position.
