About the position
The Pharmacist-in-Charge - Infusion will oversee the daily operations of an infusion pharmacy at a specialty center under the supervision of Regions Hospital Pharmacy. This role focuses on IV preparation and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while providing exceptional customer service. The position is primarily a weekday day shift role, with potential for changes in scheduling based on patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy services focusing on IV preparation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the pharmacy.
- Review medication orders and dispense medications and related supplies.
- Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information to healthcare providers.
- Supervise direct support personnel and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
- Experience with infusion therapy order verification and preparation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with and working knowledge of infusion therapy plans.
- Solid understanding of Minnesota Board of Pharmacy rules and USP standards.
