About The Position
Under direction and subject to state and federal laws and regulations and professional practice standards governing the practice of pharmacy in the State of California, to select, prepare and distribute drugs, chemicals, solutions and materials for medical and scientific use; to functionally direct supportive personnel involved in the above activities; to provide clinical judgments necessary to proper utilization and administration of medications in cooperation with the medical and nursing staff; and to provide patient counseling and medication education services. The established eligible list will be used to fill Inpatient Pharmacist vacancies at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O'Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Regional Hospital, and Regional Medical Center (transitioning to County ownership in April 2025) as they occur. The Inpatient Pharmacy at the four county hospitals are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to ensure continuous and comprehensive patient care to residents of Santa Clara County.
