About the position

The Pharmacist position at Cardinal Health is a part-time, remote role that operates on a 7on/7off schedule, primarily during overnight hours. This role supports a Connecticut-based client and requires a reliable home office setup. The pharmacist will utilize their clinical skills to provide remote pharmacy services, ensuring continuity of care for patients in acute-care settings.

Responsibilities

• Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
• Physician and nursing consultations
• Clinical medication dosing services
• Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
• Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
• Active CT pharmacy license, active pharmacy license in state of residence as well as state of original licensure
• 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred
• Computer savvy, willing to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems; Epic Together Care experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work 7 on/7 off schedule including holidays
• Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care
• Ability to establish and maintain a home work space in compliance with Cardinal standards.
