About the position
The Pharmacist position at Cardinal Health is a part-time, remote role that operates on a 7on/7off schedule, primarily during overnight hours. This role supports a Connecticut-based client and requires a reliable home office setup. The pharmacist will utilize their clinical skills to provide medication therapy management and ensure continuity of care for patients in acute-care settings.
Responsibilities
- Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
- Physician and nursing consultations
- Clinical medication dosing services
- Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
- Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
- Active CT pharmacy license, active pharmacy license in state of residence as well as state of original licensure
- 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred
- Computer savvy, willing to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems; Epic Together Care experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work 7 on/7 off schedule including holidays
- Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals
- Ability to establish and maintain a home work space in compliance with Cardinal standards.
