About the position
The position involves coordinating and providing pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The pharmacist will work closely with medical staff and healthcare professionals to deliver drug information and education, while also reviewing and evaluating medication orders to prevent and resolve drug-related issues. This role is integral to promoting optimal patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide pharmaceutical care of patients.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.
- Evaluate medication orders and fillings for accuracy.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team member to promote optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Must have a current Pharmacist license and registration as required by the state of Wyoming.
- One year of hospital experience strongly preferred.
