About the position

The Pharmacist Clinical 1 PRN provides pharmaceutical care in a clinical setting, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational policies. This role involves compounding and dispensing medications, consulting with healthcare professionals and patients, and supervising pharmacy technicians. The pharmacist is responsible for assessing medication orders and ensuring patient safety and effective therapy across various patient demographics.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a clinical setting.
• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Consult with healthcare professionals and patients regarding medications and therapies.
• Supervise and monitor the duties of pharmacy technicians.
• Review and assess prescribers' medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and alternative therapies.
• Maintain inventory and records on narcotics and other drugs as required by law.
• Assist in inventory, purchasing, and quality control of drugs and products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent work experience.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Valid Pharmacist (RPH) certification or registration.

Nice-to-haves

• General knowledge of Pharmacy Care modalities and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Ability to research and disseminate information effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
