About the position

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the medication delivery system.
  • Ensure the integrity and proper storage of all medications.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities regarding medications, including policy audits and Drug Utilization Evaluation studies.
  • Maintain records and reports related to the purchase, receipt, and disposition of drugs and related supplies.
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care, focusing on patient-centered and outcomes-oriented practices.
  • Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to promote health and modify medication use as necessary.
  • Maintain security of the correctional institution as a primary responsibility.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy or equivalent (Ph.D., Pharm.D.) recognized by an accrediting body.
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state or territory.
  • Ability to distinguish basic colors.
