About the position

The Pharmacy Supervisor at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital is responsible for overseeing pharmacy services and personnel within the inpatient pharmacy department. This full-time position involves supervising staff, clinical pharmacists, students, and residents, while ensuring the development and maintenance of clinical and operational aspects of the institutional pharmacy. The role emphasizes leadership, policy development, financial tracking, and maintaining regulatory compliance, all while fostering a positive customer service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, students, and residents, including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, and scheduling.
• Develops and maintains policies and procedures for pharmacy services in the institutional setting.
• Tracks productivity and financial data, participates in budget development, and monitors budget assumptions.
• Creates and promotes a positive, customer service-oriented image of the practice and maintains relationships with site leadership and physicians.
• Conducts regular monitoring of controlled substance utilization and assists in quality improvement activities.
• Maintains legal and regulatory readiness for the department and institution.
• Identifies patient outcomes and implements best practices to improve clinical processes.
• Maintains contact with clinical settings and stakeholders to assess services and satisfaction.
• Coordinates training and education for students and residents, and precepts pharmacy students as applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D; Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• One year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Registered Pharmacist license in Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri, or Wisconsin as applicable.
