About the position
The Pharmacist at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. This position involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations, developing and implementing pharmacy policies, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. The pharmacist is responsible for accurately interpreting medication orders and compounding and dispensing medications in compliance with legal and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure daily operations within the hospital pharmacy meet customer and patient expectations.
- Develop and contribute to pharmacy-specific policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulations.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team, providing and utilizing information to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Accurately interpret medication orders and compound and dispense medication preparations according to legal and professional standards.
Requirements
- Licensed in good standing by the appropriate state pharmacy board.
- Successful completion of a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an acute rehabilitation hospital setting.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practice guidelines.
