About the position
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Great Plains Regional Medical Center is responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This role involves medication order verification, drug therapy monitoring, and collaboration with medical staff to optimize patient care. The pharmacist also serves as an educational resource for staff, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques and following approved facility policies and procedures.
- Design, recommend, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
- Provide medication use education to patients and caregivers.
- Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to requests for drug information from health care providers and patients.
- Provide inservice education to physicians, nurses, and other practitioners as assigned.
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel effectively.
- Assist effectively with ongoing training of the technician/support staff.
- Actively participate in department and hospital committees and meetings as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum BS Degree required.
- Unrestricted License to practice Pharmacy in the state of Nebraska.
