About the position

The Pharmacy 340B Program Analyst II at Mass General Brigham is responsible for supporting the development and coordination of the 340B Program, ensuring compliance and maximizing cost savings. This role involves managing program operations, conducting financial analyses, and collaborating with various departments to enhance program efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage and lead the 340B MGB Oversight Council and ensure adherence to 340B Program regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain consistent improvement for the overall efficiency and internal support of the program.
  • Develop reports and lead analysis (cost analysis, trends, and forecasts) to educate staff and guide leadership.
  • Monitor all areas of 340B outpatient use with Pharmacy Supply Chain and Finance for maximum participation.
  • Ensure compliance of billing extract data and split billing software through monitoring utilization records and purchasing accounts.
  • Implement procedures for pricing exclusions and manage product shortages requiring alternative products.
  • Review 340B account records for exceptions and monitor GPO utilizations for compliance.
  • Assist buyers in replenishing inventory in mixed-use settings to ensure appropriate accounts are used.
  • Comply with Drug Supply Chain Security Act requirements for drug purchasing and distribution.
  • Update the CDM/crosswalk for new products and ensure accuracy of utilization reports.
  • Recognize the value opportunity of the 340B program through financial analysis and track its impact on the organization.
  • Collaborate with other analysts to develop audit metrics ensuring compliance with 340B requirements.
  • Participate in self-audits of 340B pharmacy operations and document procedures for reconciliation issues.
  • Communicate the purpose and importance of the 340B program to MGB staff and address their concerns.
  • Foster relationships with internal counterparts to improve program efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide data and reports for other business units as needed.
  • Attend conferences and monitor relevant publications to stay updated on 340B program information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, healthcare or related field.
  • 5 years of compliance, business, finance, or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with data query/data management, PowerPoint, and Tableau preferred.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and negotiate with diverse teams.
  • Flexibility in work hours when required.
