About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at Fry's Food Stores is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to customers while adhering to state and federal regulations. This part-time role emphasizes the importance of creating a safe, clean, and inclusive environment, and requires the technician to assist pharmacists in various responsibilities while ensuring compliance with health codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings as per regulations.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state regulations.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report all illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
