About the position

As a Pharmacy Certified Technician at Kroger, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to our patients. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to help customers live healthier lives.
  • Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services as allowed by state and federal laws.
  • Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
  • Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
  • Compound medications according to state and other regulations.
  • Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
  • Support non-dispensing services through various platforms, resources, and applications.
  • Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law as well as company policies.
  • Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and other regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting is desired.
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
  • Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
  • Maintaining a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
