About the position

As a Pharmacy Certified Technician at Kroger, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our customers receive the right products, services, and care at the right time, all while maintaining fair and accurate pricing. You will be expected to treat our customers and employees with fairness and ethics, contributing to a safe, clean, and inclusive environment. Your work will directly impact the health and well-being of our community, as you will provide direct patient intervention and support health and wellness initiatives as allowable by state and federal laws. You will assist pharmacists in their responsibilities, except for those that require professional judgment. Your role will also involve maintaining confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal laws. You will be responsible for accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing, while providing a stellar customer experience. Additionally, you will support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians, compound medications according to regulations, and perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information. You will also be involved in supporting non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications, and completing CLIA-waived screenings as required. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
  • Experience in compounding medications.
