About the position
The Pharmacy Certified Technician plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services in a pharmacy setting. This position involves direct patient interaction, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and supporting the pharmacist in various responsibilities while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
- Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by law.
- Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
- Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
- Compound medications according to state regulations.
- Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
- Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
- Complete CLIA-waived screenings as per regulations.
- Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as required by state.
