About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at City Market plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to patients. This part-time position focuses on ensuring a safe, clean, and inclusive environment while adhering to state and federal laws. The technician will assist pharmacists, support health initiatives, and maintain compliance with regulations, all while embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing accurately and efficiently.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state regulations.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report all illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable role.
• Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Assist in coaching and training clerks and/or technicians.
