About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician role at Kroger focuses on providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention to promote health and wellness. The position requires adherence to state and federal laws while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for customers and employees. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by law.
• Assist pharmacists in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
• Accurately complete reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
• Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and resources.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as permitted by regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
