About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician role at Kroger focuses on providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention to promote health and wellness. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
  • Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by law.
  • Assist pharmacists in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
  • Accurately complete reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
  • Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
  • Compound medications according to state regulations.
  • Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
  • Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and resources.
  • Complete CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Provide additional health and wellness services as permitted by regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
  • Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
