About the position

As a Pharmacy Certified Technician at Dillons, part of the Kroger family, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the pharmacist in various tasks while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. You will be responsible for accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing, ensuring a stellar customer experience. Additionally, you will assist in the training and coaching of clerks and technicians, compound medications according to regulations, and perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information. Compliance with sanitation and safety regulations is paramount, and you will be expected to identify and report any unsafe conditions to store management. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and federal regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as required by state regulations.
• Any previous comparable experience as a pharmacy technician is desired.
• Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license.
