About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at Fry's Food Stores is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to customers and employees. This role involves ensuring a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to state and federal laws. The technician will assist pharmacists in various responsibilities, maintain compliance with health regulations, and support the company's health and wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Support for company health and wellness initiatives.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state regulations.
