About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician role is focused on providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to customers and employees. The position involves direct patient intervention and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. The technician will support the pharmacist in various responsibilities and contribute to the company's health and wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement
• Provide a stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians
• Compound medications according to state regulations
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state regulations
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions
• Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure
