About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at City Market plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to patients. This part-time position focuses on ensuring a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to state and federal laws. The technician will assist pharmacists, handle confidential information, and support health initiatives, all while embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Handle highly confidential information responsibly.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information against computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as permitted by law and company policies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
• Experience in coaching and training clerks or technicians.
• Ability to provide health and wellness services as allowed by state regulations.
