About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at Kroger is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to customers while adhering to state and federal regulations. This part-time role emphasizes the importance of ethical treatment, safety, and inclusivity in a pharmacy environment, supporting the company's mission to enhance the health of the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment in the pharmacy.
• Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by law.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information against computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report illegal activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure as a pharmacy technician.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
• Experience in coaching and training clerks or technicians.
• Ability to provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by law.
