Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for customers and employees.
  • Support the company’s health and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
  • Compound medications according to state and other regulations.
  • Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
  • Support non-dispensing services through various platforms, resources, and applications.
  • Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law as well as company policies.
  • Comply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations.
  • Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

  • Minimum - High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Completion of national registration, certification or licensure

Nice-to-haves

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician
  • Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements
  • Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians
  • Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company’s policies regarding the same
