As a Pharmacy Certified Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the health and wellness initiatives of our community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the pharmacist in delivering high-quality care to our customers while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will be expected to create a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for both customers and employees, treating everyone with fairness and respect. Your role will involve direct patient intervention, where you will provide health and wellness services tailored to the needs of the patients, all while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). In this position, you will be responsible for accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing. You will also support the training and coaching of clerks and technicians, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide stellar customer experiences. Compounding medications according to state regulations and performing post-fill audits to verify prescription information will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting non-dispensing services and conducting CLIA-waived screenings as permitted by law. Your commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety regulations will be essential in identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions to store management. This role requires a proactive approach to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including reporting any illegal activities such as theft or fraud.
