About the position

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at King Soopers plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services to patients. This part-time position involves direct patient interaction, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. The technician will assist pharmacists in various responsibilities while embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by state and federal laws.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with regulations and company policies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable role.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Experience in coaching and training clerks and/or technicians.
