Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service at the cash register
• Process cash, credit, and debit card, and store account transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
• Assist with organizing patient pick ups and deliveries
• Assist the pharmacist and other staff with stocking shelves and putting away the daily order, pulling back medications for return to stock
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
• Ensure patients receive the products and medication refills they need

Requirements

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy procedures preferred
• Understanding of patient service principles in a community pharmacy setting
• Ability to assist patients and customers with finding products and ringing up products and prescriptions
