About the position

The Pharmacy Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction and the efficient operation of pharmacy tasks. This position involves direct interaction with guests, handling transactions, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting pharmacy operations while adhering to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon entry to the pharmacy.
• Build a reputation for ultimate guest service.
• Handle Point of Sale transactions for prescriptions.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling patient records.
• Assist with guest charge and delivery records.
• Sell nonprescription drugs in their original containers.
• Stock and clean pharmacy shelves.
• Label and put away orders.
• Order pharmacy stock.
• Mail out prescriptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or actively working towards it for no more than two years.
• HIPAA certification (can be obtained upon hire).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
• Experience in retail pharmacy is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing, and walking for 8-12 hours.
• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
