About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacy Compounding Tech to join our team at Valencia Pharmacy in Newhall, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy compounding and be a licensed pharmacy technician. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24 to $27, depending on compounding experience. As a Pharmacy Compounding Tech, you will play a crucial role in preparing and compounding medications according to physician orders and established protocols. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of compounded medications, maintaining a clean and organized compounding area, and assisting in inventory management and ordering of compounding supplies. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers while adhering to all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy compounding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound medications according to physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure accuracy and quality of compounded medications

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current pharmacy technician license in the state of California
• Prefer Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy compounding
• Strong math skills and attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
