About the position

The Pharmacy Corporate Trainer at PharMerica is responsible for implementing training programs for pharmacies using Framework LTC software. This role involves traveling to deliver training to pharmacy employees and developing training materials when not on the road. The trainer will work as part of a remote team, coordinating and executing training initiatives that are crucial to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Design, plan, and organize pharmacy software training programs for new hires and refresher courses.
  • Support the development of self-directed, on-demand training modules for employees.
  • Present information using various instructional techniques such as role playing and simulations.
  • Travel onsite to deliver training as needed, up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in instructional design or workforce education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Pharmacy Order Entry or training pharmacy staff on dispensing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with database tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting new employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology remotely.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician.
  • Background in long-term care pharmacy.
