About the position
Community Health Services is seeking a reliable and personable Pharmacy Courier to join our team! This role is responsible for delivering medications to patients' homes safely, accurately, and on time using a CHS vehicle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prescriptions to patients Monday through Friday- No Weekends
- Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive medications
- Communicate clearly with patients and CHS staff
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, fueled, and organized
- Follow organized delivery routes and obtain signatures when distributing medications
- Follow all safety, HIPAA, and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Clean driving record & valid auto insurance
- Strong knowledge of local roads and ability to follow delivery route
- Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, walking)
Nice-to-haves
- Pharmacy or delivery experience (preferred)
- Comfortable with technology (smartphone, basic software)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within a year)
- Reliable, professional, and compassionate
