Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

About the position

The position involves delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role focuses on providing a friendly and efficient checkout experience, processing prescriptions, and engaging with customers to resolve issues and enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Checks in and prices merchandise as required or directed by management.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
• Processes manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently.
• Assists with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
• Ensures the store is clean, neat, and orderly, complying with all company policies.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
