About the position
The position involves delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role focuses on providing a friendly and efficient checkout experience, processing prescriptions, and engaging with customers to resolve issues and enhance their shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
- Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
- Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
- Checks in and prices merchandise as required or directed by management.
- Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
- Enters patient and drug information accurately into pharmacy systems.
- Fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
- Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately.
- Handles telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Processes manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently.
- Assists with inventory management activities in the Pharmacy Department.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise placement.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
- Assumes web pick-up responsibilities and monitors orders in Picture Care Plus.
- Ensures clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
