About the position

The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The associate will also support inventory management and maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
  • Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes customer purchases.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Enters patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
  • Fills prescriptions and checks for possible interactions.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist's attention.
  • Processes manual claims for third party prescription services.
  • Assists with inventory management activities and maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and ensures compliance with product placement policies.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • PTCB certification.
