About the position

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences by providing assistance and support in a pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of pharmacists and engage in various operational tasks while receiving opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members to enhance customer interactions.
• Provides fast and efficient service to customers, recommending items for sale and assisting in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and keeps records.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including entering patient and drug information and filling prescriptions.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention and processes manual claims for third-party prescription services.
• Assists with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals, and maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
• Ensures the store is clean and orderly, complying with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
