About the position

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences by providing exceptional service and support in a pharmacy setting. This entry-level position focuses on building relationships with customers, assisting them with their health needs, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Provides customers with friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommends items for sale and assists customers in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including entering patient and drug information and filling prescriptions.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
• Processes manual claims for third-party prescription services and performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Assists with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
• Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
