About the position

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting pharmacy operations. This entry-level position involves assisting customers with their needs, processing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members to enhance customer interactions.
• Provides fast and efficient service to customers, recommending items for sale and assisting in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and keeps records.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, including entering patient and drug information and filling prescriptions accurately.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention and processes manual claims for third-party prescription services.
• Assists with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and assists with product placement as per policies.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly store condition and appearance, complying with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
