About the position

The position involves delivering exceptional customer service while assisting in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role focuses on providing a friendly and efficient checkout experience, processing prescriptions, and engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience. The employee will also be responsible for maintaining store cleanliness and inventory management, as well as adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Assists the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
  • Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
  • Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Checks in and prices merchandise as required by management.
  • Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including filling prescriptions and verifying medications.
  • Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
  • Processes manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently.
  • Assists with inventory management activities in the pharmacy department.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and ensures compliance with product placement policies.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures the store is clean, neat, and orderly, complying with company policies.

Requirements

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
