About the position

Grane Rx Pharmacy is currently hiring a part-time fulfillment technician to work rotating shifts in a Long Term care, closed-door setting. The pharmacy fulfillment technician will perform pharmacy-related tasks in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role is crucial in providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care residents, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled accurately and in a timely manner, thereby maximizing quality and patient safety. The position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, and a keen attention to detail. The technician will be responsible for medication order fulfillment, which includes various tasks such as packaging, labeling, and shipping medications. They will work directly under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, preparing medications for dispensing and ensuring that all processes comply with legal and ethical standards. Additionally, the technician will coordinate and stage items for delivery, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and assist with special projects as needed. Responsibilities

  • Medication order fulfillment including packaging, dispensing, labeling, and shipping medications.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in preparing medication for dispensing and final review.
  • Coordinate and stage items for delivery to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
  • Mix pharmaceutical preparations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist according to written prescriptions.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Support location and departmental goals, as well as the overall objectives of the company.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
  • Maintain professional and technical competencies for job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic drug terminology.
  • Must possess computer knowledge skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
